Configure ability to configure format derivation

I was wanting to be able to get at the raw request after a get/post from /resource.xml but found I couldn't. I forked on git hub and added some tests for a @derive_format attribute. Also included was a guard clause for an empty response.body i.e. calling Hash.from_xml("") Not the prettiest fixes, but they did what I needed at the time. :) Thanks for the library, I like it.

Derive format didn't instantly make sense to me but I see what you've done and think that is reasonable. I'll probably tweak how I handle it but I like the idea. Thanks!
